Gyroscope, Fly By Night
Alright, so apparently I suck at taking breaks. All it took was one sms mentioning the magic ‘G-word’, and I was packing up my gear for what seemed like my millionth Gyroscope shoot in the last year. Support for the evening came from Calerway, a band I’ve been working with for as long as I can remember. Two bands that are definitely never a chore to shoot. This is a pretty picture-intensive post, I wouldn’t suggest tackling it with dial-up.

I was pretty liberal with my exposures all night, and experimented & mucked around a lot during Gyroscope’s set. Along with the photos in my usual style, I did a few with flash and practiced balancing with the ambient. Moderately successful, though I didn’t have a lot of time to switch between settings, so it ended up being a case of ‘hit it and see what sticks’.

The ‘non-break’ will continue into next weekend, when I shoot The Mess Hall on the 9th. I knew I’d committed to it, but I thought it was later in the month. Ah well. After that, I will TOTALLY be going on a break. Honest.

Haha, point taken. I actually didn’t realise it’d been that long. Have a post ready to go that I’ll be putting up tonight.
Great! 🙂
